Brian King

Manager and Co-Founder

Brian King is a seasoned finance and real estate investment professional with over 30 years of experience. After earning an MBA in finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, King worked at Chemical Bank in New York and Houston, leading an investment team to complete a $125 million leveraged buyout. King later served as Director of Mezzanine products at Chicago Capital Fund, where he turned around one of the firm’s investment companies and was named Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young in 1994.

His financial career led King to join P.E. Capital, an Atlanta-based investment bank involved in real estate investment and acquisitions. In addition to financing traditional real estate investments, he managed a $300 million Department of Education’s Capital Investment Program and led the $160 million financing for the acquisition of 100 Church’s Chicken Restaurants throughout the Midwest.

In 2015, King joined Sanctuary Residential as a Director and opened the Atlanta office. He oversaw the development of a 150-bed mixed-use student housing project in downtown Atlanta, the first new construction development along the Atlanta Streetcar.

King also served as an adjunct professor of Real Estate Finance and Investments at his alma mater Morehouse College, where he graduated Summa cum Laude in Finance and Accounting.
